Mythical Dream Maine Coon Cattery was established in 2020 and is located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. My cattery is registered with The International Cat Association (TICA), and my breeding program is built around the responsible preservation of the Maine Coon breed.
My foundation breeding program currently focuses primarily on F5 generations and includes both polydactyl and non-polydactyl Maine Coons. Each breeding is planned with careful consideration of pedigree, genetic diversity, health, temperament, structure, and breed type. Outcrosses are selected with purpose to strengthen the foundation of my program while preserving the physical characteristics and temperament that define the Maine Coon.
I believe preservation breeding requires more than producing kittens that resemble the breed. It requires an understanding of pedigree, health history, genetic relationships, structure, temperament, and the possible impact of each breeding decision on future generations. My goal is to produce healthy, well-structured Maine Coons with confident, affectionate temperaments while continuing to protect the integrity and long-term future of the breed.
In addition to my own breeding work, I serve as a Course Leader through PawPeds, where I instruct both new and established breeders in the G1 and G2 courses. This role allows me to support education within the breeding community while continuing to expand my own knowledge. Ongoing education, careful evaluation, and informed decision-making remain central to everything I do at Mythical Dream.

Comprehensive health screening is an essential part of my breeding program and a critical responsibility in preservation breeding. Every Maine Coon selected for breeding undergoes genetic and physical evaluations before entering the program, with continued monitoring throughout their breeding years.
Health screening does not eliminate every possible health concern, but it provides valuable information about each cat’s genetic status, cardiac health, joint structure, and overall physical soundness. These results are considered alongside pedigree research, family health history, temperament, structure, and breed type when planning each pairing.
The following evaluations are completed on all breeding cats:
Full DNA panel through Optimal Selection
Echocardiogram to screen for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
Ultrasound screening for Polycystic Kidney Disease
Hip x-rays to evaluate for Hip Dysplasia
Patellar x-rays to evaluate the patellas for luxation
Echocardiograms are repeated annually throughout each cat’s breeding career to monitor for changes in cardiac health. Health information is also reviewed as cats mature and as additional information becomes available within their pedigrees and family lines.
This level of screening supports informed breeding decisions and helps reduce avoidable health risks within future generations. It reflects my commitment to producing healthy, physically sound, well-structured Maine Coons while contributing responsibly to the long-term preservation of the breed.
